There are various manga series as well as manhwa and manhua which are top grossing. As per the sales estimate, the top selling manga are :
One Piece by Elichiro Oda. The publisher of this series is Shueisha and it is in the Shonen demographic. This has a total collect of 84 volumes and this has been serialized from 1997 till date. The approximate sales of this Manga series are 406 million. In 2016 alone the sales were 12,314,326 copies with the top volumes being #80, #81, #82 and #83. This has the distinction of being the manga which is the best selling series of manga in history.
Golgo 13 which is written by Takao Saito and published by Shogakukan of the Seinen demographic has a collect of 182 volumes and this has been serialized from 1968 and is still going on. This has sales of 280 million. This is the oldest of the manga which has been published and the tankobon has the unique distinction of being third highest when volumes are concerned.
Case Closed by Gosho Aoyama which is published by Shogakukan like Golgo 13 and is in the Shonen demographic has a total of 91 volumes. This has been popular since 1994 and has grossed an approximate sales of 150 million. Detective Conan: The Darkest nightmare was the 20th detective film and was released in April 2016.
Pokemon Adventures is another humongous and popular series which is authored by Hidenori Kusaka, Satoshi Yamamoto and Mato. This is similar to Case Closed and is published by Shogakukanin which its of the same demographic. It has 52 volumes and has been serialized from 1997 onwards. This like Case Closed has sales of around 150 million.
Pokemon Adventures 20th Anniversary Book of Illustrations expanded the publishing catalog and was published in 2016. New titles too made their debut as well as 3 manga box sets.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures are authored by Hirohiko Araki and is published by Shueisha. This is both of the Shonen and Seinen demographic and has 117 volumes. This has been published from 1987 onwards and has sold 100 million. In fact there is a range of this merchandise which includes several video games and fighting games. This was converted to an anime TV series in 2012.
There are a number of manga series which have been in the top grossing mangas but they are not current.
